The fryer baskets are very hard to come by. There's one being sold on ebay right now with other pots included. The price is pretty steep. This is the second one I've seen on ebay in the past two years.

I love the fryer basket, I was lucky and found one. I use it to make chicken wings, Italian zeppolis'.

When I have a moment I'll take a pic of mine and post so people know what they look like. You never know you might come across one at a garage sale, flea market.

I was just to ebay looking at chamber stoves and did not see this basket or pans. Do you remember what category? Thanks!

"CHAMBERS VINTAGE STOVE No. 60 DOUBLE-BOILER SET DEEP FRYER BASKET

This is a Double-Boiler pan set for a vintage Chambers range. I believe this is a rather rare accessory to find, especially in this nice condition!

The large pan measure 7 inches deep with the lid on and 9 inches in diameter. The Double-Boiler insert pan measures 8.5 inches in diameter and is 2.5 inches deep. You insert the smaller pan inside the large pan, place the lid on top and clamp it down into place. Everything fits together very well and is in very nice condition!

I am also including the DEEP FRYER BASKET that fits inside the large kettle to deep fry fish, etc.. I used to use this for big family get togethers and it works great in the Thermowell! The FRY BASKET will hook onto the side of the kettle for draining. I do not have the handle, but my husband fashioned one for it and I will send it along.

I scanned a page from my CHAMBERS Idle Hour Cook Book showing the double boiler pans and how they are used. These "kettles" are accessories from my Chamber Model C Deluxe range. I received 2 sets when I purchased my range 21 years ago."

Nice set but the current bid is $189.96 with 3 1/2 days to go. Ouch.

I'm sorry, but I can't fall for this one. I've seen a lot of pots, pans, gizmos and widgets advertised on Ebay claiming to be by or for Chambers. The Chambers coffee pot, the Chambers pocket fisherman, the Chambers slip-n-slide and now the Chambers Deep Fry Basket. Does anyone have any Chambers information on the fry basket? I'm from the Show Me part of East Texas.

    Stoveman,

I have a piece of chambers literature that shows the chambers fryer basket. I'll try to scan it and post a picture.

My basket looks different than the one in the picture and resembles the one on the literature I have.

What? There is no Chambers Pocket Fisherman?

    I was ripped off!
I want my $19.95 + 29.95 Shipping and Handling back!
I'm keeping the genuine Chambers Ginsu Knife Set though.

Have you seen the price this pot set is up to now? It's at $240 and counting!!!!

Glad I got my double boiler set already, because these prices are way beyond my comfort range! The fry basket doesn't even look any different than the many others available that might just happen to fit the pot.

Treatmaker, have you been able to scan your info yet? You could also just take a digital photo of it and post it that way. It would be nice to to see a shot of your own fryer basket, too. I'm really curious to see what the real ones look like.

Went for $255.00. Some people really want to deep fry. I have never deep fried anything in my life! Sounds pretty darn greasy to me.

I take it back, I have made tempura in a wok a few times. And it was greasy (and good).
